Top to bottom site refresh of a 8,981 square foot outpatient eye surgery center. In the 9 weeks of this project, Guthrie General reworked underground plumbing and electrical, complete overhaul of flooring including leveling of the waiting room, resheeting of all restrooms and wet walls with durarock, various patch and infill of existing walls, new doors throughout, new acoustical ceilings including clean room panels, new millwork with solid surface countertops, repair and recertification of the med gas systems for the three operating rooms and recovery bays, and a complete rework of life safety systems to meet code. In addition to the interior work, extensive exterior work took place concurrently; exterior window systems were resealed and re-tinted, spandrels added, asphalt patched and seal coated, roofing repaired and recoated with a monolithic foam, and the entire project received new paint both exterior and interior. Substantial savings were able to be realized for the client by repairing rather than replacing existing HVAC units and utilizing existing branch circuitry for the changes to lighting and power layouts.
